Sending E-Mail to Multiple Recipients
pixel.gif (42 bytes)

In this activity, you will send another e-mail message to your online guide. You will also send a CC: (Carbon Copy) of the message to your own e-mail address. The CC: option makes it possible to send a single message to multiple recipients. It is possible to enter more than one address in the CC: field. Just separate each address with a comma (no spaces!).

Both Outlook Express and Web Mail also have a BCC: option in the address fields. The BCC: option allows you to send a Blind Carbon Copy. A blind carbon copy hides the list of other recipients that appears in the usual CC: e-mail headers and leads the recipient to believe that they were the only one receiving the message. Some people use the BCC: field to send themselves a copy of important e-mail for their own records.
