It is assumed that you have downloaded and installed the recommend Microsoft Outlook Express e-mail software and have set up Outlook following the instructions located in the Online Tutorials section of the Kings Canyon Unified School District website. If you have not done so, you can download Outlook Express by clicking on the Software Downloads link on the left side of the Kings Canyon Unified School District homepage. Check with you local technology mentor if you are unsure which software package you will need. You can find specific instructions for setting up Outlook Express by clicking on the Online Tutorials link on the KCUSD homepage. The Outlook Express software includes an excellent built-in tutorial that explains in detail the basic procedures and features found in Outlook. Click on the Help menu and select Outlook Express Help... It is suggested that you familiarize yourself with Outlook Express Help... before you begin this module of the KCUSD Staff Development website. Notice that when you click on the topic on the left side of the screen, additional sub-topics appear. Click on these sub-topics will open a detailed tutorial on the right side of the screen. You can print these tutorials for future reference. Web Mail You can also access your KCUSD e-mail using the Web Mail software on the KCUSD server. This option will allow you to check your e-mail from any web browser, both at work and at home. Using this option does not require the installation of additional e-mail software. An excellent tutorial on using Web Mail is available by clicking on the Online Tutorials link on the KCUSD homepage. It is suggested that you read this tutorial before beginning this module of the online staff development website. You can print a copy of the tutorial for future reference. Print a copy of the module 1 logsheet Click here to open a copy of the module 1 logsheet. When the logsheet appears, select Print from the File menu. You will record the completion dates on this logsheet and will return it to your online guide when you complete the module.
