Option 1: Netscape/Mozilla Composer (Mac OS X & Windows) Note: This option has been retired. The online tutorials for this option will remain available for former course participants who still sometimes use them. Option 1 requires the use of the vintage Netscape Communicator Suite or the current Mozilla Suite software which must be installed on the user's computer. Option
2: DiDa HTML Editor Note: This option has been retired. The online tutorials for this option will remain available for former course participants who still sometimes use them. This option is for course participants who would like to develop a basic understanding of HTML using a freeware text editor with a built in preview browser. Course participants will create a website with three curriculum specific webpages linked by a frontpage. Note: The software for this option was included on the course floppy disk that you received when your registered for the course prior to December, 2006. This vintage software still works but is definitely "feeling its age". Option
3: HTML Web Weaver Lite Editor Note: This option has been retired. The online tutorials for this option will remain available for former course participants who still sometimes use them. This option is for course participants who would like to develop a basic understanding of HTML using a simple text editor. Course participants will use a shareware software application to create a website with three curriculum specific webpages linked by a frontpage. Software Availability Update: The company that created this software is apparently no longer in business. It is still possible to download archived versions of the software from the Tucows download site. Option
4: AOL Hometown Website Note: This option has been retired. The online tutorials for this option will remain available for former course participants who still sometimes use them. AOL users can create a website using the online Easy Designer webpage design software available at AOL's Hometown. The AOL Easy Designer software requires the use of Microsoft Virtual Machine software which may or may not be installed and enabled on your computer. Online Help files will guide you through the process of building your AOL Hometown site. |
