Export Internet Explorer 9 Favorites (PC)

Open Internet Explorer. Click on the View Favorites (Star) button on the upper right side of the browser. A new window will appear. Click the drop-down menu arrow to the right of Add to favorites at the top of the new window. Select Import and Export from the menu. When the Wizard appears, click Export to a file and then the Next button. Click on Favorites and then Next. Click on the folder you wish to export. If you click on the top Favorites folder all of your Favorites will be exported. Click on Next. Click on Browse. Navigate to the desktop. Change the default bookmark file name to your first initial followed by your last name (example: bjost) Important Note: Use only lower-case letters. Do not use any spaces. Click on Save. Click on Export when the Wizard screen reappears. Click on Finish to exit the Wizard. A dialog box will appear informing you that the export process was successful. Navigate to the desktop and locate the file. Double-clicking on the file should open Internet Explorer and display your exported favorites on the screen. Clicking on the links should take you to the associated webpage.
